From Broken to Blessed...

Dedicated to the people who always believed in me, and given me hope to go on.
To my wonderful blog friends. THANK YOU.

Applied a good amount of gesso for texture, and then painted this old frame last weekend. And started building on it with browns and blues in mind. Inspired by Aida Haron's work with frames and the "Do It Yourself Ideas For Your Home and Garden" magazine (Winter issue 2010,pages 20 -22).

I will be visiting ALL of you soon.
Go on, scrap to your heart's desires!

.broken.

Life has given me the best of trials to Break me...and then make me Stronger.

I have been going through alot lately.

You know...the kind of things that brings you down...the kind that makes you feel like you did so much, and worked so hard...and yet, people around you makes you feel unappreciated. Its like you have fallen so hard, and you were just about to pick yourself up...and someone comes kicking you down again.
Pretty much like that.

Sometimes, you try so hard. But things are not meant to go your way. And you get lost. In all confusion, You come to a stand still. And you ask yourself... "Where do I go from here?"

Over at the BraveGirlsClub, Melody Ross had this to say, " do not let your weaknesses define you..."
and That just hit me hard... that I have actually been spending so much energy and time thinking of how lousy I feel... It is killing ME. What about all the good things I have done... and that I am capable of doing... what about all the people who do believe in me.

The bravegirlsclub inspired me to do this one. I found an old frame in the storeroom the other day, and it got me started on a couple of things. Little reminders to help me through.

I'm tired.
and my spirit is almost broken.
but Today, I brave on.

Home.

HOME. For days now, I haver been pondering on what home means to me... I have been thinking about marriage, and family... and so many other things... so, that explains...
This.

Done on an 8 x 8 canvas board...
Colours inspired by Aida Haron and Anna Bowkis
I used a generous coat of 'rock candy' from Ranger on the canvas..and rubbed in loads of ink... somehow the background reminds me of faded watercolors...

My Friends from Mini Book Anonymous will be sharing their beautiful 'Pumpkin and Pears' mini books soon... so do visit them!
Thank you...

Have yourself a great weekend. Scrap to your heart's desires!
