Celebrating Differences...

This is inspired by the Racial Harmony week at work... and her love for butterflies...because each butterfly is different. And so are we.

Our difference makes us special and we compliment each other as sisters.

I think its alot like that too living in a multi racial society like Singapore. We are brought up to appreciate diversity. Happy Racial Harmony Day!!!

Thank you for stopping by... Have yourself a beautiful Sunday...

Lost memories of Father.

I started on another mini album last Wednesday.I wanted to create a collaborative book this time... According to Ali Edwards, in her book- Sharing your story... Collaborative books include others opinions, views, and feelings... it is something you can create together with family members or friends...

I really wanted to make a book about Father. Especially a book detailing part before and part after cancer. I think it is an important process for all of my family members to add something into the page... so that we can have a fuller and more complete picture of what happened... so that we can remember him together... I think we all need something like this... to help us cope with someone's passing.

Initially, this was how the album started...

I added a pocket to this book, so that we can keep some items that reminds us of him safely. This pocket was created from Donna Salazar's Crafty Chronicle that I won from Scrapoholics some weeks ago.

We have been spending these few days talking about Father... and asking each other questions to fill up this book... Its going great. The mini book is divided into 3 parts- First part documenting fond memories of him, and of how he battled cancer, second part, the pocket, and thirdly, pages where each of us will journal about him.

I think in scrapbooking, its important to create something meaningful for ourselves, and that the process of creating from the heart should always be the ultimate outcome.

Farewell... and Be Brave...

Presenting... The reveal of my 8x8 canvas board...

This is a farewell gift for a colleague...
I think in Life, there will come a time when We all need to find ourselves again... and we have to Be Brave...to find out who we are and who we want to be, and where we want to go from here. So, I hope he finds what he is looking for.

I tried something new. Seen at the bottom part of the canvas- To add more texture, what I did was use distress re-inkers and drop a few onto the paper, and while its still wet, add a drop of glossy accents onto the same spot!!!

Thanks for looking...

1st August.

An album made from scratch, inspired by Ali Edwards.

This is an album, documenting the years of love and friendship we share together. And that is why I choose minimal colors, and design. I wanted to give more emphasis on the journaling and photographs.

This is to us.

This 1st August, marks our 8th year together. And I am looking forward to that special day.

Thank you for passing by...
Go have yourselves a beautiful weekend, and Scrap to your heart's desires.

Scrap Dares #1... and more roses...

A 12x12 layout... which I have not done for quite some time...

This is for Made With Love's Scrap Dares #1!!!
And I had fun playing along...
This is an old photo of Father, resting among shades of green and black...cause those colours remind me of how much he love the outdoors, and having his lil misadventures... A stamped butterfly is mounted onto a grungeboard that was gesso-ed and distressed... added an old envelope that was highlighted by distressed ink in black soot. I also used glimmer mist from Tattered Angels in Cinder...

More roses to share, as I continue to spring clean and redecorate my room!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by...

Bits and pieces...

I have been pondering so deeply about life these days... who knows what is to come... we can only do so much, hope for the best... and then let go... cause ultimately, God decides.

I feel like I have been so busy with the reopening of school but It's been great. I am now redecorating my room... and reorganizing some stuff... I found some time to do some scrapping today... but can't really decide which photograph to use... for this 12x12 layout I have in mind...

And did I tell you, I found this beautiful metal box with vintage roses on them... how lovely! It's from a shop called "Rose Corner" at Northpoint... Tell me you adore them too...

....and here's a little sneak at a mini book I did... this is for Us...

Its almost finished...

Have a wonderful week ahead everyone...
