Friend, would you listen to my heart...what does it say...

I have not sat down with a friend, have a good long chat, talk about life, share...just the feeling of sharing thoughts, ideas, smiles, laughters, an honest conversation, feelings... food on the table... it has been quite a while. But I am so grateful, I am given the opportunity to do so this month, and I have come to rekindle old friendships and make new ones...

Finally, I met up with July from itsaworkofart and its so weird how it was the first time I'm meeting her, and yet its like I have known her for a long time... Our meet was indeed a blessing... I wanted to share this beautiful art journal she made for me....

I had this little gift for her... It is a fridge magnet... to remind her of how beautiful her Gift of heART is...
It is made of transparency...inked and embellished...

I just cherish every little thing... out of friendships, out of life... and Everyday...really should be celebrated...
I think I have lost too much... lost touch with some close friends... I don't know if its time, the fact that they have moved on... or that life is so chaotic and busy... or that there were just too much to catch up... to ever be able to...
and that is why I just want to thank everyone out there who is always open to embracing each other's differences, and support each other's scrapbook work...art... who comes to visit each other's space here.
These friendships with people coming frm all corners of the world, of different backgounds, faiths, lifestyles... makes it all okay... makes me okay.

Thought I'd share this altered tin, using some handmade love from July... beautiful clay butterflies... just can't quite remember what kind of clay :)

THANK YOU for stopping by...I really needed your ears today... :)
Go on, Scrap to your Heart's desires...

  2. I feel the same way- I have lost touch with so many of my friends. I miss them all and I miss having a BFF, someone to just sit and chat or someone who I can call and just complain. Sigh.

Anyway, thanks for the nice comment on my page. That indeed is a doily. I have become obsessed with doilies of all shape and sizes. I often find them in the cake decorating section of stores. Some scrappy companies make them now (I know Little Yellow Bicycle does.) I typically use paper ones, but I do have some antique ones that were my grandmothers- although I will NOT be putting them on my scrappy pages.
